Why chandryan 3 success while Chandrayan 2 Not ?


Chandrayaan-3 is a proposed mission by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to land a rover on the Moon, but as of my last knowledge update in September 2021, it had not yet been launched or completed. Chandrayaan-2, on the other hand, was launched on July 22, 2019, and consisted of an orbiter, lander (Vikram), and rover (Pragyan). Unfortunately, the Vikram lander failed to make a soft landing on the Moon's surface as planned.

The success or failure of space missions can be attributed to a variety of factors, including technical challenges, complex engineering, and the inherent risks of space exploration. Chandrayaan-2's failure to achieve a successful soft landing on the Moon was primarily due to a loss of communication with the lander during its descent.

Chandrayaan-3, if and when it is launched, will likely benefit from lessons learned during Chandrayaan-2, which could increase its chances of success. However, space exploration always involves a degree of uncertainty, and success is never guaranteed. The outcome of Chandrayaan-3 will depend on various factors, including mission planning, technical execution, and operational success.
